Winter Wheat: Second Sowing at the Portage la Prairie Regional Library on Saturday is a chance for local writers and aspiring writers to hear and talk to local published authors.

Five accomplished Manitoba, even local, writers will lead discussions, panels, readings and workshops on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Terrie Todd, Sharron Arksey and Donna Gamache will lead a panel discussion at 10 a.m. on “How to Fit Writing in Your Life”.

Writer’s workshops will follow at 11:15 a.m. interspersed with musical and spoken word performances and a poetry station.

There will be an author’s reading by Bartley Kives starting at 2 p.m. of his new book “Stuck in the Middle 2”

The library asks interested parties to preregister. There will be door prizes for those in attendance.
