Severe Thunderstorm Risk Map For Thursday, May 24th, 2018

By InstantWeather

Severe thunderstorms already occurring this morning and the risk will continue into this afternoon/evening.

The main risk is for isolated damaging wind gusts reaching 90km/h+, isolated severe hail reaching quarter to possibly as large as ping pong balls in very isolated regions and locally heavy rainfall, possibly causing some isolated flooding.

We keep mentioning the word isolated because not everyone is going to see these storms and it’s very possible that they could miss large populated areas.

There’s a hint of a tornado risk but it’s fairly questionable. If we had to pinpoint an area, perhaps east of Winnipeg towards the Ontario border.
