Manitoba Airshow management shows it can be done right

The Portage Citizen — Under new management for 2018, the Manitoba Airshow was a completely different event than what was held at Southport in 2016.

The 2018 Manitoba Airshow was organized and managed by Southport Airport and Commercial Properties and KF Aerospace: local management making decisions for a local event!

Gone were the headaches of getting in and out from the show, not being able to use your cell phone and included were all the human amenities to make the show not only great in the air but a lot of fun on the ground.

A long line of food trucks made sure you didn’t have to go hungry or even eat the same thing twice, improved thinking on crowd control meant you didn’t spend a ridiculous amount of time waiting to use a port-a-potty and you could even quaff a cool one should you choose.

Management did a great job making sure people got help getting around with an exceptional volunteer people moving program which included airconditioned buses from Meseyton Construction and farm tractor pulled large wagons.

Southport Airport and Commercial Properties and KF Aerospace were prepared to welcome up to 20,000 for each day of the two-day show. Unofficially it seems up to 6,000 may have taken in the show each day.
