Police make arrest in Portage shooting

Portage la Prairie RCMP have arrested one man in connection with Sunday’s shooting and continue to seek two others.

Tyler Tukundum, 26, of Winkler, was taken into custody and was scheduled to appear in a Portage courtroom on July 19.

Police continue to search for Jonah Perswain, 18, and 21-year-old Tommy Beaulieu.

Perswain is facing 15 charges following the July 15 shooting including attempted murder, aggravated assault, discharge firearm with intent, carry a concealed weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon with ammunition. He is described as being 5 feet, 6 inches tall and approximately 160 pounds.

Beaulieu is charged with aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm with intent, assault with a weapon, fail to comply with a weapons prohibition and three other charges. He is described as being 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 165 pounds with face and arm tattoos.

Police warn to not approach either man who are considered dangerous and possibly armed.
