Police seek Sandy Bay man

“This is a historic crime which shocked the community when it occurred,” RCMP say.

A Sandy Bay First Nations man is being sought by Portage la Prairie RCMP.

Portage RCMP is asking for community assistance in locating Therae Racette-Beaulieu, 18, at large on a warrant for his arrest.

Police say Racette-Beaulieu is presently bound to a conditional release and has allegedly failed to comply with imposed conditions. Racette-Beaulieu is described as an Indigenous male with a slender build, 5’11”, weighs approximately 170 lbs and has brown eyes and black hair. He is believed to be in the Sandy Bay First Nation area.
