Snowmobiles stolen from Portage Toyota

Portage Toyota broke into July 19.

Apparently, summer has not been hot enough to deter thieves on July 19, from stealing two snowmobiles.

Sometime overnight July 19, thieves entered the Portage Toyota compound, broke into several camper trailers as well as two utility trailers while damaging doors and locks in the process.

A black 2016 Ski-Doo Renegade Back Country and a black 2017 Ski-Doo Summit were stolen. An investigation into another call resulted in two tracks being found in a nearby field, which travelled westbound towards the Portage Diversion.

Investigators are asking that anyone with knowledge of the theft, or the current whereabouts of the stolen snowmobiles, please call the Portage la Prairie RCMP at 204-857-4445. Anonymous tips can also be made through Manitoba Crimes Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), text “TIPMAN” plus your message to CRIMES (274637) or by visiting www.manitobacrimestoppers.com. Tips leading to the arrest of those involved, or the recovery of the stolen vehicles, could receive cash awards.
