Johnny Dietrich’s 12th Annual Voices of the Prairie benefit concert Oct. 6 brought out more than 400 fans.
With co-hosts, the Sharpe Sisters and musical guests Hicktown the music set moved from traditional country, elevated three-part harmony from the sisters who move comfortably between old-timey country, ballads and folk to rollicking country rock from Hicktown. The show lived up to its billing: something for everyone in a family oriented venue at the Canad Inns.
“It’s always a lot of work, but once we get that behind us, and we get up there to play, it’s a lot of fun,” Dietrich said following the Saturday night performance. “I guess we have to start working on organizing for next year’s show.”
