Don Amero an engaging storyteller, songwriter and performer will open the 2018-19 William Glesby Centre Mainstage performance season on Oct. 13.
Amero has toured across Canada for over 10 years, with six albums including his latest, Evolution. The stop in Portage is in support of Evolution.
“I heard him perform in Russell at the 2017 Manitoba Arts Network’s Showcase and his voice and storytelling is amazing,” says Margaret Bernhardt-Lowdon, William Glesby Centre executive director.
Amero is a powerful stylist, Juno nominee and engaging storyteller. His album, Refined, touched the hearts of Canadians from coast to coast. Amero’s voice and stage presence has been likened to Ed Sheeran, John Mayer and Jack Johnson. He brings his unique percussion-style guitar play and approachability every time he performs. This is a concert that everyone will want to attend.
Tickets are available at the Glesby Centre Box Office (204-239-4848) or online at https://www.eventbrite.ca/d/canada–portage-la-prairie/glesby-centre/.
