It’s been 15 years since Portage la Prairie Heritage Inc., took possession of the
on 3 St. S.E., and a train-themed party Nov. 4 celebrated all that has happened since and explained some of what is to come at the historic station.
There was a good turnout for the official public opening of the station which included cake, music by Lucien Spence, opening remarks and a ribbon cutting ceremony. Of course, model trains were on display during the free community event.
