Portage RCMP arrest Lavenham couple on child pornography and exploitation charges

On Oct. 18, Portage la Prairie RCMP received a report that on multiple occasions, a 16-year-old male had been sexually exploited.

Local Mounties initiated an investigation with the assistance of the RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) and a search warrant was executed on Nov. 5 at the residence of a husband and wife in Lavenham, Manitoba. Portage and Treherne RCMP, as well as the ICE Unit and the RCMP Technical Crime Unit, were involved in the search. Digital devices were seized.

Donna Woodward, 58, was arrested and charged with: Make Child Pornography, Possess Child Pornography, Possess Child Pornography for the Purpose of Publication, Sexual Exploitation by Touch, Sexual Exploitation by Invitation to Touch, Sexual Assault and Bestiality.

Charles Woodward, 60, was arrested and charged with: Make Child Pornography, Possess Child Pornography, Possess Child Pornography for the Purpose of Publication, Sexual Assault and Bestiality

Both suspects are remanded in custody.
