The Portage Citizen: The Student and Member Show, one of the largest and most diverse exhibit officially opened Dec. 6 at the Portage & District Arts Centre (PDAC).

PDAC students and members — 32 artists showing 58 pieces — “are excited to be displaying their latest artworks in both the Main Gallery and the Boardroom Gallery. We are excited to showcase these incredible artists,” said Executive Director Margaret Bernhardt-Lowdon.

The Student and Member Show represents such a large group so the exhibit includes a wide variety of media — everything from paintings to pottery. Many of which have been created or inspired since taking a class here at PDAC.

“It is always great to be able to participate in an exhibition. Seeing your artwork displayed in the PDAC Main Gallery and Boardroom Gallery with other artists is always exciting” says PDAC  member Sharon Green.

The artists involved in the exhibit are:

Adrienne Pratt, Amy Giesbrecht, Barbara Janzen, Bette Holliday, Charlotte Jones, Connie Gretsinger, Delnora Rice, Dennis Wiens, Donalda Johnson, Helen Wiebe, Jan Benton, John Nielsen, Karen Braden, Lee Beaton, Mary Lowe, Matthew Lacroix, Melba Morrey, Melissa Woods, Mike Blume, Pat Crandell, Patricia Crozier, Roger Binne, Rose Godin, Sandi Storen, Sharon Green, Terese Schroeder, Terry Campbell and Vern Crandell

The Portage & District Arts Centre (www.portageartscentre.ca) will be displaying the PDAC Student & Member Show from Dec. 4 to Jan. 26, 2019. The exhibit is sponsored by MNP LLP.
