A Fort la Reine Museum fundraiser Saturday night will mix business with pleasure: more appropriately, history with fun.
Speakeasy – Prohibition Era Trivia Night, offers a chance to travel back in time to prohibition and the 1920s and sneak into the speakeasy that just popped up down the street.
There you will be able to sample some “illegal” drinks, “gamble” at the silent auction table or with the 50/50 draw, and test your team trivia skills!
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards operating the Fort la Reine Museum in 2019.
Speakeasy features a silent auction, 50/50 draw, cash prizes for winning trivia teams and a prize for best 1920s costume.
Organizers have made sure the trivia contest will be fun. All trivia questions are designed to be inclusive, and not limited to “history buffs”. You will be surprised at how much you know!
Speakeasy – Prohibition Era Trivia Night is on March 30 at the Herman Prior Activity Centre.
The fun starts at 7 p.m. with an early close at 10 p.m. before the “coppers” can raid.
Tickets are $160$ for a table of eight or $25 a single. Seats are limited)
