Corrie Budd wins Manitoba Country Voice

The Portage Citizen

The sold-out crowd Saturday night at the Prairie Fusion Arts & Entertainment centre was truly the big winner, but Corrie Budd walked away with the cash and a recording deal.

Budd pocketed the $500 first prize cheque at the third annual Manitoba Country Voice talent show, but her performance also earned her quality time in the studio with Doc Walker

Budd was the judges’ choice while Brett Forzley was the People’s Choice Award winner, a tip of the hat any performer would argue is not second place.

Kelly MacAulay took second place while Ariel Isbister took third place honours.

The fourth annual Manitoba Country Voice talent show is already scheduled for March 2020.
