A triple threat on Glesby stage Saturday night

A triple threat on Glesby stage Saturday night

It’s a Saturday night party at the Glesby with three popular and entertaining Manitoba acts as part of the centre’s Mainstage program.

The Janzen Boys

In 2018, Roots Music Canada said, ‘There are few things more uplifting in life than seeing a dad and his teenage sons making music together and looking like they’re having the time of their lives. At least that’s how it feels to watch a Janzen Boys show.

The Janzen Boys – Father and sons trio, got their start busking as a rootsy, harmony-singing family. Their unique flair and style is something to be seen as the trio entertains with their musical style.

Ila Barker

With soul and voice well beyond her years, folk soul Ojibwe artist Ila Barker captures audiences with her sweet melodies and dynamic presence. Fusing authentic and timeless notes this Manitoba grown singer-songwriter will surely connect and leave a lasting impression.
Ila’s second studio album is to be released Summer 2019 and hopefully, she is auditioning some of these in this performance.

Mika-Dawn

Once a top-10 finalist in CBC’s Searchlight competition, this Manitoba singer has become known as a Manitoba-based singer, Mika-Dawn, has made it to the top 10.

Mika is sometimes described as ‘a well-known southern sweetheart’, or even ‘A Young Dolly Parton’, but whatever the description Mika-Dawn has been captivating audiences from a very young age. She began writing her own music at the age of 15 and her sweet vocals and honest story-telling have left audiences entranced since.

Janzen Boys/ Ila Barker/ Mika-Dawn Saturday, May 18th, 2019 @ 7:30 p.m.
