June 21, 2019
Employee assaulted during booze theft
Portage La Prairie RCMP was called to a report of a theft at a Saskatchewan Ave. W. business on June 21 at 9:29 a.m.
Police learned an unknown male had stolen two cases of liquor. When confronted by an employee of the business, the suspect kicked the employee in the ribs and then fled.
Police continue to investigate.
