The fiddles will be on fire May 5 as The Prairie Fiddlers Concert will fill the air at Portage la Prairie’s Good Shepherd Church.
This is the 21st annual Prairie Fiddlers Concert and the second at the church.
Promoter and one of Manitoba’s if not Canada’s finest fiddler Mark Morisseau, says fiddlers of all levels will participate in the concert that is expected to last 75-minutes.
“We’ve enjoyed seeing the artists rise and sadly leave us (The Prairie Fiddlers ) but we invite a number of them back to show the folks and new artists that they are still out there keeping the tradition going.” The third generation fiddler said. “We have a full band of recording artists come out to deliver a 75-minute program along the entire crew of fiddlers on stage for the duration of the show.”
As always, the concert features some vocalists and step dancers to mix things up a little.
Doors open at 1:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. show time
Adult tickets are $12 while 12 and under are $6.
