Crime prevention forum will help paint a better picture of crime in Portage

Concerned about rising retail theft and crime Portage la Prairie’s business community is holding a crime prevention forum on Dec. 10 to share information and to discuss local crime trends.

The forum is being organized by the Portage la Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce members and the business community. It will hear from local government representatives, Safer Communities and Manitoba Justice Department and the RCMP.

Expect to hear about recent crime and overall crime trends in Portage; crime prevention tips to protect your business and other matters of public safety that are of interest to chamber of commerce members.
