Murder suspect sought, considered armed and dangerous

RCMP investigators have upgraded an early morning May 20 Portage la Prairie shooting to homicide and are looking to question a man who is allegedly involved.

Portage la Prairie RCMP updated charges surrounding the First Street NW shooting after the victim, a 20-year-old Langruth man, succumbed to his injuries later that day.

The investigation has deemed the death to be a homicide and police are looking for 19-year-old Laurent Beaulieu on a second degree murder charge. He may be in Portage La Prairie or the surrounding area. He is considered armed and dangerous.

RCMP also continue to investigate an apparent homicide in MacGregor

Portage la Prairie RCMP are calling a death near MacGregor on Monday a homicide.

Portage la Prairie RCMP answered a report around 8:20 p.m. on May 20 of an unresponsive 51-year-old man outside the town.
