The Fort la Reine Museum is bringing the sights, sounds and feel of a traditional Christmas on Dec. 7 in a setting here no one can match.

“Yuletide is a family-friendly festive event that includes horse-drawn sleigh rides, holiday crafts, our winter artisan market with vendors who specialize in handmade local goods/gifts, live festive performances from Choral Readers and the Prairie Players, a campfire with hot cider, decorated heritage buildings, and a gingerbread house competition,” explains museum organizers.

The gingerbread house competition is sponsored by Habitat for Humanity! For those interested in entering the gingerbread house competition – a chance to win some great prizes — register by Dec. 5th by emailing

Yuletide will take place at the Museum on Dec. 7 from 2 – 5 p.m.

Admission is by donation, and everyone is welcome.
