This year’s ‘State of the City/RM’ address—annually a well-attended luncheon—is going virtual.
In line with social distancing and group size gathering protocols due to Covid-19, the May 28 Portage la Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce hosted will be online only.
“We are pleased to bring to you the Annual State of the City/RM. It will be a bit different than usual, but we thought it was important for our Businesses to hear from our City and RM leaders especially during this unprecedented time,” the chamber outlines in a recent social media post.
Civic leaders take the opportunity to update the public on projects, opportunities and this year explain the challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the absence of a catered meal, the chamber is asking attendees to add local flavours.
It is encouraging you to order from a local restaurant and join the luncheon from the comfort of your office or home.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org by May 27 to register.
